Vibration
Monitoring
Hand
arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) is a wide spread industrial disease affecting
thousands of workers, particularly those in the construction
industry. These can cause painful attacks, loss of grip strength in
the hand, loss of dexterity and reduced blood flow to the extremities of the
fingers. The most common effect is known as Vibration White Finger (VWF).
Where people regularly work with vibrating equipment for prolonged periods there is likely to be a risk of injury. With the invention of new technologies it is now possible to assess the dangers by measuring the vibration exposure.
M.E.L. has
experienced consultants able to undertake vibration monitoring on a range of
different work activities utilising the
very latest vibration monitoring equipment.
