Introduction Certificate in First Line Management

Introduction Certificate in First Line Management

ILM (Insistute of Leadership and Management)

This course consists of ten segments, three of which are mandatory taken from ten modules. The remaining seven can be chosen to suit individual and company needs.  These segments can be added to at a later date in order that candidates can achieve the full certificate in First Line Management.

The tuition time amounts to 36 hours and candidates must be prepared to undertake work in their own time.  The Introductory Certificate also requires a work based assignment of around 1000 words.

Participants on this course will normally be either practising or aspiring first line managers. Whilst there are no formal educational requirements, learners should have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.  This is likely to be Level 2 Key Skills Literacy and Level 1 Key Skills Numeracy, or their equivalent.  Where intending learners do not have this level of literacy and numeracy, this centre can provide support prior to the start of the programme.

This NVQ is aimed at those individuals who are already training others in the workplace.  It is mainly workplace assessed without the need necessarily to attend training sessions.  Where tuition is required this will be provided.
