appropriate to their environment.
Objectives
By the end of the session the
candidate will be able to:
Explain how the Manual Handling
Regulations relate to The Health and Safety at Work Act
Describe the anatomy of the spine
and the factors that can cause injury
Describe and undertake a basic
manual handling risk assessment
Explain the principles of safe
handling
List unsafe lifting practices
Demonstrate the use of handling
aid and techniques
Candidates receive a certificate
and signed assessment of the practical applications they have competently
carried out and aids demonstrated.
