Stress Awareness Course - Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
Aim
Stress has long been recognised as a significant workplace hazard. This course will enable the candidate to gain a greater knowledge of the subject and practical steps that can be taken to reduce the risk.
Objective
By the end of the course the candidate will be able to:
Explain what is meant by the term stress and in particular work-related stress
Explain the importance of controlling stress in the workplace
Give examples of the typical stress related factors in the workplace
Identify the likely signs of stress in colleagues and themselves
Advise on and implement basic controls in the workplace to reduce stress
Monitor colleagues and themselves in relation to stress at work
Complete a self-assessment
There is no formal examination. To gain a certificate accredited to The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, candidates will need to complete a self-evaluation.
